How much luggage is allowed per traveller?


With your OUIGO ESSENTIAL ticket alone, you can travel with 1 handbag (27 cm x 36 cm x 15 cm) and 1 cabin luggage (55 cm x 35 cm x 25 cm, including handle, pockets and wheels).

If you also want to add extra luggage, you can choose the OUIGO PLUS option, which includes 1 additional or XL luggage of up to 25kg in addition to your handbag and cabin luggage.

Add the “Additional luggage” option from €5 if you have an OUIGO ESSENTIAL ticket. The maximum luggage allowed per traveller is 1 handbag, 1 cabin luggage and 2 large items (or bulky items, such as a bicycle).

Please note that luggage must be placed on the racks at the same height as your seat during the journey.

Keep in mind that if you don’t book the additional luggage service at least 30 minutes before departure or your luggage exceeds the allowed dimensions, our Service Crew will regulate it at boarding for a fee of €25.

Travelling on OUIGO with animals


On OUIGO trains, small pets are allowed as long as the comfort of other passengers is respected. The owner must ensure the animal’s well-being and avoid any disturbance during the journey.

Small pets include dogs, cats, birds (not poultry), and ferrets, with a maximum weight of 10 kg. Two animals per passenger are allowed, and they must travel in a carrier with maximum dimensions of 60 cm wide x 35 cm long x 35 cm high. The carrier must be designed to contain and manage waste properly.

Guide dogs may travel on any train free of charge, in accordance with current legislation.
